Fred is a gifted filmmaker and storyteller hailing from Honduras. He crafts compelling narratives, factual stories, and investigative reports on culture, art,  social justice, and freedom of expression. Fred's dedication to fearless storytelling earned him the prestigious PEN Canada’s "Writing without Fear" investigative journalism award 2015 and the Toronto Arts Council Newcomer and Refugee Artist Mentorship Grant 2022. Relocating his career to Toronto, Fred now serves as a community journalist at Regent Park Focus under the Local Journalism Initiative. Additionally, he thrives as the producer and anchor for RPTV Weekly News, bringing impactful stories to audiences far and wide.
